This bare bulb supplies just the SP-LAMP-042 lamp, for the Ask A3200 and seven related Infocus models: A3200, IN3104, IN3108, IN3184, IN3188, IN3280 and WS3240. It is rated at 280 watts with a 2,000-hour life, intended for fitting into a housing you already own rather than replacing it.
Note that this is a different part from SP-LAMP-041, which serves the separate A3100 and A3300 range, so the two should not be swapped even though the model families look similar. As a bare bulb, check your existing housing for cracks or a clouded lamp window before ordering; a module with new housing is available under the same SP-LAMP-042 code if needed.

Common questions
How can I be sure I need SP-LAMP-042 and not SP-LAMP-041?
Check your projector's exact model number. SP-LAMP-042 covers the A3200 and its IN3104, IN3108, IN3184, IN3188, IN3280 and WS3240 relatives, while SP-LAMP-041 is for the separate A3100 and A3300 family.
Does the bare bulb need to be handled any differently given the higher 280-watt rating?
Handling is the same as any bare projector lamp: avoid touching the glass directly and let the projector cool fully before removing the old bulb, regardless of the wattage involved.
Is there an alternative part number for SP-LAMP-042?
Not on our records. SP-LAMP-042 is the only code we have for this lamp, so it is the number to use for ordering either the bare bulb or the module.
Will this bare bulb work in an IN3280 that has never had a housing issue?
Yes, provided the existing housing is in good condition, this bare SP-LAMP-042 bulb is the correct replacement for the IN3280 and the rest of the listed compatible models.
What does the 2,000-hour rating tell me about this lamp compared with others in the range?
It reflects this lamp's own specification rather than a fault. SP-LAMP-042 runs at a higher 280 watts than some related lamps, and Infocus rated its life at 2,000 hours accordingly.
This is a bare lamp — the bulb only. You reuse the housing already fitted in your projector.
