This module version of RLC-101 fits Viewsonic's PJD7836HDL and PRO7827HD, both of which also appear under the LightStream name. It arrives as a complete assembly with the bulb already fitted inside its housing, so the whole unit is removed and replaced rather than handling loose glass.

If your current housing is cracked, discoloured, or the cage will not close securely, this complete module resolves that alongside supplying a fresh bulb, unlike the bare bulb version of RLC-101 which assumes your housing is still sound. Simply lift out the old lamp assembly and fit this one in the same bay.

Common questions

Should I choose the module or the bare bulb for my PRO7827HD?
Pick the module if your housing shows cracks or the cage no longer closes properly. If the housing is fine and only the bulb has dimmed, the bare bulb version is the cheaper option.

Does RLC-101 fit both the LightStream and standard PJD7836HDL?
Yes, both naming versions of the PJD7836HDL take the same RLC-101 module, as does the PRO7827HD under either name, so the LightStream branding makes no difference to which part you order.

Is any tool needed to fit this module?
Usually just a screwdriver to remove the lamp access panel screws, along with letting the projector cool down fully before you begin, since the housing and bulb can stay hot for some time after use.

What happens to the lamp hour counter after I fit RLC-101?
You will normally need to reset the lamp timer manually through the projector's on-screen menu once the new module is installed, so it counts from zero again.

Are the PJD7836HDL and PRO7827HD really the same projector under different names?
They share the same lamp requirement, RLC-101, though they are marketed as distinct models; the LightStream branding is simply how some units of each are sold.

This is a complete module — bulb already seated in its housing, so it drops straight in.
