CPWX8240LAMP is a 245 watt lamp module rated for 2500 hours, built for the Hitachi CP-WU8440, CP-WX8240 and CP-WX8240A, along with the CP-X8150 and CP-X8150J. Two further Hitachi models, the HCP-D747U and HCP-D747W, along with the HCP-D757X and HCP-D758X, take this same part.
Hitachi has also listed this lamp as DT01281, so either code on your projector's paperwork points to the module we sell here as CPWX8240LAMP. It arrives as a complete unit, bulb and housing together, so fitting it means exchanging the whole assembly rather than opening it up to reach a bare bulb.

Common questions
Is DT01281 the same lamp as CPWX8240LAMP?
Yes, DT01281 is an alternative Hitachi code for the identical 245 watt module we list as CPWX8240LAMP, so both numbers describe the same part and either can be used to order it.
What is the difference between the CP-WX8240 and CP-WX8240A?
Both use the identical CPWX8240LAMP module, so the letter suffix does not change which lamp is required for either version, only how the projector is labelled on its rating plate.
How many hours does this lamp last?
It carries a rated life of 2500 hours at 245 watts, a figure that reflects standard operating conditions rather than a guaranteed minimum for every installation.
Which HCP models use CPWX8240LAMP?
The HCP-D747U, HCP-D747W, HCP-D757X and HCP-D758X all take this module, alongside the CP-WU8440 and CP-WX8240 series, rounding out the projectors that share this exact part number.
Is a bare bulb version available for this projector range?
This listing covers the complete module only. We do not currently list a bare bulb alternative for the CP-WX8240 range under this code, so the full housed unit is what ships.
This is a complete module — bulb already seated in its housing, so it drops straight in.
