xl-2000u-projector-lamp
XL-2000U bare projector lamp

The XL-2000U is the bare bulb specified for ten Sony models, spanning the KF-SX and KF-DX ranges as well as the KP-50XBR800 and KP-XR43TW1. It fits inside the lamp housing these units already have, so only the bulb itself is replaced, not the surrounding housing or reflector.

This same lamp also carries the codes XL-2000, A1484885A and A1601753A; if your old bulb shows any of these instead of XL-2000U, it is still the identical part. With ten models listed here, check the exact model code on the rating label, since KF-42SX100 and KF-42SX200 are easy to mix up.

At a glance

Type — Bare Projector Lamp

SKU — LA-12983

Compatibility — 10 projector models

Common questions

What other codes does the XL-2000U go by?
We also list this bulb as XL-2000, A1484885A and A1601753A. All four references point to the same physical lamp, so any of them confirm the correct part.

Which Sony models take the XL-2000U?
Ten models: KF-40SX200, KF-42SX100, KF-42SX200, KF-50SX100, KF-50SX200, KF-50XBR800, KF-60DX100, KF-60XBR800, KP-50XBR800 and KP-XR43TW1, so check the exact code on your unit's rear rating label first.

Why isn't a wattage listed for this bulb?
We publish specification figures only where we can confirm them for the exact part, and that detail isn't available for the XL-2000U, so we've omitted it rather than guess.

Does the XL-2000U include a housing?
No, it's the bare bulb only, meant to fit inside the lamp housing already built into your model, so the existing housing and reflector stay in place.

My unit shows KF-42SX100, not KF-42SX200. Does it matter which I pick?
Yes, check the exact model on the rating label carefully. Both are listed as compatible with the XL-2000U, but they are different models, so confirm the full code before ordering to avoid confusion.
