vlt-xl5950lp-projector-lamp
VLT-XL5950LP bare projector lamp

Saville AV rebadged several Mitsubishi projectors for its own MX-3900 and MX-4700 lines, and both share the same VLT-XL5950LP lamp used across the wider LVP-XL5900, XL5950 and XL5980 family. This is the bulb alone, rated at 270 watts with a 1500-hour life, for fitting into your projector's existing housing.

Because this is a bare lamp, you'll need to open your current housing and swap the bulb across rather than fitting a sealed unit. We also list it under the code AV VLT-XL5950LP, which is the same lamp under a second reference some suppliers use, so either code should match this listing.

At a glance

Wattage — 270 W

Rated life — 1,500 hours

Type — Bare Projector Lamp

SKU — LA-09525

Compatibility — 15 projector models

Common questions

Is the VLT-XL5950LP lamp really the same for Saville AV and Mitsubishi projectors?
Yes. Saville AV's MX-3900 and MX-4700 were built on Mitsubishi hardware, and both use the identical VLT-XL5950LP lamp, so this single listing covers projectors sold under either brand name.

What does the alternative code AV VLT-XL5950LP mean?
It's simply another reference some catalogues use for the exact same lamp. You don't need to search separately for it; ordering under either VLT-XL5950LP or AV VLT-XL5950LP gets you this same part.

Does the bare VLT-XL5950LP require me to reuse my current cage?
Yes. This listing is the bare lamp only, so you reuse your projector's existing housing and transfer the bulb across yourself, rather than fitting a new pre-assembled module.

What power and lifespan figures apply to the VLT-XL5950LP?
This lamp is rated at 270 watts with a 1500-hour service life, which applies across all the compatible Mitsubishi and Saville AV models listed above.

Why does this listing use a placeholder image instead of a real photo?
We don't have a confirmed photo of this specific bulb on file, so a generic placeholder is shown instead. The VLT-XL5950LP part code is what you should check against your projector, not the image.
