et-lab80-projector-lamp-module
ET-LAB80 projector lamp with module

Forty-one Panasonic business projectors share the ET-LAB80 lamp module, running from the compact PT-BX10 and PT-BX20 through the PT-LB75, PT-LB80 and PT-LB90 families to the PT-X500 and PT-X610. At 220 watts and a 3000-hour rating, it's supplied complete with housing for a straightforward swap.

Panasonic has also catalogued this lamp under the model code PT-LB78U rather than a lamp-specific number, so if your parts reference lists that instead of ET-LAB80, it's the same part. With 41 compatible models, matching your projector's full model number against the list above is worth the extra minute.

At a glance

Wattage — 220 W

Rated life — 3,000 hours

Type — Projector Lamp with Module

SKU — LA-09914

Compatibility — 41 projector models

Common questions

Why is PT-LB78U listed as an alternative part number?
Some parts references catalogue this lamp under the projector model it fits, PT-LB78U, rather than the lamp code ET-LAB80. Both point to the identical lamp and housing, so either can be used to order the correct part.

Does ET-LAB80 fit both the NT and non-NT versions of the BX series?
Yes — the PT-BW10NT, PT-BX20NT and PT-BX30NT are on the confirmed fitment list alongside their non-NT counterparts. The NT designation refers to networking features, not a different lamp.

What lifespan does the ET-LAB80 offer across the BX and BW ranges?
ET-LAB80 is rated for around 3000 hours of use at 220 watts. Actual life depends on operating conditions, including how often eco mode is used where the projector supports it.

Is this lamp suitable for classroom-style projectors as well as office use?
The PT-LB and PT-BX ranges this lamp fits are commonly specified for classrooms and meeting rooms, and the PT-X500 to PT-X610 models extend into general business use, so ET-LAB80 covers both settings.

What's the safest way to dispose of the old lamp?
Projector lamps contain pressurised gas and should be treated as hazardous waste rather than general rubbish. Many electrical recycling points and some local councils accept them — check what's available in your area before disposal.
