ec-j6400-001-projector-lamp-module
EC.J6400.001 projector lamp with module

EC.J6400.001 is the projector lamp module Acer specifies for the P7280 and P7280i. It ships as a complete unit, meaning the bulb sits inside its own housing rather than needing an existing cage to be reused. Fitting one restores brightness on either model without any cross-brand substitution or guesswork about which cage it needs.

We list this lamp under its own part number rather than any alternative codes, since EC.J6400.001 is the only reference we hold for it. Because it is supplied as a full module, no separate housing purchase is needed. Confirm your projector reads P7280 or P7280i on its rating label before ordering, since even close model numbers can take different lamps.

At a glance

Type — Projector Lamp with Module

SKU — LA-07976

Compatibility — 2 projector models

Common questions

Does EC.J6400.001 include the housing, or just the bulb?
This is supplied as a complete module, so the bulb arrives already seated in its housing. You remove the old module and fit the new one as a single unit, without transferring any parts between the two.

Will this lamp work in an Acer P7290 as well?
No. We only list EC.J6400.001 against the Acer P7280 and P7280i in our records. If your projector is a different model, check its own rating label or user manual for the correct lamp code before ordering, since similar model numbers do not always share the same part.

Can I cross-reference EC.J6400.001 against another code?
No. It is the only code we hold on file for the P7280 and P7280i, so there is no alternative reference to check it against.

What does 'original' mean for a lamp like this?
It means the module carries the same part number and specification Acer assigns to the P7280 and P7280i, rather than a rebuilt or third-party equivalent sold under a different reference.

When should the lamp module be replaced?
Replace it once picture brightness noticeably drops, colours start to look washed out, or the projector reports a lamp warning. Because this is a complete module, you are changing the bulb and its housing together each time.
