aj-lbx5-projector-lamp
AJ-LBX5 Bare Projector Lamp

LG's larger BX501 series projectors take the AJ-LBX5 bulb, a single lamp code that covers the BX501, BX501B and BX501B-JD variants. It is supplied bare rather than as a module, so it is fitted into the housing already installed in your projector.

Because the BX501, BX501B and BX501B-JD all share AJ-LBX5, the suffix on your model name does not change which lamp to order. As a bare bulb it depends on a sound existing housing, so check the connector and reflector inside your projector are undamaged before fitting a new bulb.

At a glance

Type — Bare Projector Lamp

SKU — LA-09399

Compatibility — 3 projector models

Common questions

Does AJ-LBX5 cover the BX501B-JD as well as the BX501?
Yes, all three variants in this range, the BX501, BX501B and BX501B-JD, are covered by the same AJ-LBX5 lamp code, so the suffix on your projector's model name does not affect which part to order.

Why is no wattage or lamp life listed for AJ-LBX5?
We only publish figures that appear in our own records for a given lamp, and those specifications are not currently confirmed for AJ-LBX5. The compatible projector models and part code are accurate as listed.

Is AJ-LBX5 a bare bulb or a full module?
It is supplied as a bare bulb, designed to be fitted into the housing already in your BX501-series projector. It is not a complete module with its own cage.

How can I be sure my housing will accept a bare bulb?
Check that the connector pins and reflector inside your existing housing are not cracked, bent or discoloured before fitting a new bare bulb, since a damaged housing needs separate attention.

What does ordering by 'the original code' mean here?
It means AJ-LBX5 is the part code we use to list this lamp, matching what LG issued for the BX501 series, rather than a code we have created ourselves.
