990-0173-projector-lamp-module
990-0173 projector lamp with module

This listing covers the complete lamp-and-housing module version of 990-0173, built for Clarity Wildcat cubes carrying the serial prefixes WCC, WCCB, WEC and WECB. Unlike the bare lamp we also list under this same number, the module replaces the whole assembly, housing included, rather than just the bulb.

997-3691 is recorded as the alternative reference for this same module, so match either code against your Wildcat's rating plate. Choose this module rather than the bare lamp version if the cube's existing housing or optical block is damaged or worn, since the whole unit is replaced together here.

At a glance

Type — Projector Lamp with Module

SKU — LA-08703

Compatibility — 4 projector models

Common questions

Why is this listed at a much higher price than the bare 990-0173 lamp?
This version is a complete lamp-and-housing module rather than just the bulb, so the higher price reflects the additional housing and optical hardware included, not a different or higher-grade lamp.

When should I choose this module over the bare lamp?
Choose the module if your Wildcat cube's existing housing or optical engine is cracked, misaligned or otherwise faulty, since fitting a bare lamp into a damaged housing will not fix those underlying problems.

Does fitting this module disturb a video wall's alignment?
Because the whole housing is replaced, expect to recheck convergence and edge blending on any wall this cube is part of, more so than when only a bare lamp is swapped inside an untouched housing.

Is 997-3691 a different module to 990-0173?
No, it is the same module under a second reference; check both numbers against your Wildcat's rating plate, since the printed code can vary depending on when the cube was built.

Does the WCC, WCCB, WEC or WECB prefix affect which module I need?
No, all four serial prefixes are listed against this same 990-0173 module, so the prefix on your cube's rating tag does not change the part you should order.
