5j-j2v05-001-projector-lamp-module
5J.J2V05.001 projector lamp with module

Supplied complete with housing, the 5J.J2V05.001 module carries a 225-watt bulb rated for 3,000 hours, built for four Benq projectors: the MP778, the MW860USTi, the MW870UST and the MX750. The whole module lifts out of the old housing bay and this one takes its place directly.

The same code, 5J.J2V05.001, is also sold as a bare bulb for buyers whose current housing is still sound; this listing is the complete module. Both versions share the 225-watt, 3,000-hour rating, since the bulb inside is identical. Confirm your projector matches MP778, MW860USTi, MW870UST or MX750 before ordering.

At a glance

Wattage — 225 W

Rated life — 3,000 hours

Type — Projector Lamp with Module

SKU — LA-08346

Compatibility — 4 projector models

Common questions

Is this the module or the bare-bulb listing?
This is the complete module, with the bulb and a new housing arriving together as one part. A separate bare-bulb listing under the same 5J.J2V05.001 code exists for buyers who only need to replace the lamp itself.

What are the power and lamp-life figures for this module?
225 watts and a 3,000 hour rated life, matching the original specification for the MP778, MW860USTi, MW870UST and MX750. These figures are the same whether you choose the module or the bare-bulb version.

Which four projectors is this module built for?
5J.J2V05.001 fits the MP778, the MW860USTi, the MW870UST and the MX750. If your projector uses a different model number, even from the same Benq range, this module is unlikely to fit correctly.

Why might I choose the module over the bare bulb?
Choosing the module makes sense if your projector's existing housing is cracked, discoloured or otherwise worn, since it replaces both the bulb and the housing together. A sound housing usually only needs the bare-bulb version.

Does the projector need any setup after the module is fitted?
Many Benq projectors expect the lamp-hours counter to be reset from the on-screen menu once a new module goes in, so it tracks the new part from zero. Check the settings menu on your specific model for the exact steps.
