001-742-projector-lamp
001-742 bare projector lamp

The 001-742 lamp is made for a single projector, the Digital Projection 5000HDI, and is supplied as a bare bulb rather than a full housing assembly. Once fitted into the existing housing, it restores the projector to its normal brightness without any other parts needing to be changed.

You may also see this part listed as Projection 001-742, which is the same lamp under a slightly longer reference. Since this is a bare bulb, the housing from your current lamp is reused, so keep it intact when you remove the old unit rather than discarding it.

At a glance

Type — Bare Projector Lamp

SKU — LA-11055

Compatibility — 1 projector models

Common questions

Does the 001-742 fit any projector besides the 5000HDI?
No, this reference is specific to the Digital Projection 5000HDI. If your projector has a different model name, this is not the lamp you need, even if the housing looks similar.

Why does this lamp appear under more than one code?
Some listings add the brand prefix, so you may see it written as Projection 001-742 rather than 001-742. Both point to the same part; neither is more current than the other.

Is fitting this something I can do without a technician?
The 5000HDI's lamp compartment is generally reachable without dismantling the whole unit, so many owners fit this themselves. If you would rather not, an AV engineer can carry out the swap.

What should I check before placing an order?
Confirm your projector reads 5000HDI on its badge or menu, and make sure you want the bare bulb rather than a full module, since this listing supplies the lamp only.

Is there anything to be careful of when handling this lamp?
Allow the projector to cool fully before opening the lamp compartment, and avoid gripping the bulb by its glass envelope. Handling it by the base or frame reduces the risk of marks that can affect performance.
